Steve Smyers’ forward-looking architectural style is inspired by legendary architects including H.S. Colt, A.W. Tillinghast, Donald Ross, and long-time friend and mentor, Pete Dye. By blending classical notes with lifelong experiences and a modern perspective, Steve has been able to create a distinguished yet timeless style of his own.

Steve cares deeply about creating memorable experience for every golfer. His architectural philosophy flows from designing the journey to sculpting the terrain, and finally, harmonizing and healing the landscape. He believes that only by overseeing every aspect of the design and construction process, a golf course can reach its full artistic and technical potential.
